In the first “Festival Daigaku” photo class, our pro cameraman Hideyuki Enomoto showed us 150 of his pictures of previous WMDFs and then used them as examples to talk about six topics: focus, exposure, blurring, colour/white balance, composition, light quality.

As well as photography, we learnt lots about events, and about very expensive cameras. You can join us for the second lesson of the series on July 4th, even if you didn’t attend today. Bring your camera, because it will be workshop-based.

WMDF organisers “Worlds Meet Japan” support the creation of events in Hakodate by running various occasional educational classes in a program called “Festval Daigaku”. Hello everyone. Hakodate is getting warmer, but the cold wind is still coming from the mountains… Please take care of your health..

So, we are sure that everyone is busy with the beginning of the new financial year. Ourselves, we have been working hard planning, fundraising, and presenting our event at universities, and now we are holding our first WMDF staff meeting for the 007 event. We hope to see veteran staff from previous years as well many new volunteers, and even people who are just curious. We will explain lots about our event, distribute materials, and also have quite a lot of fun. There is no need to register your attendance beforehand: please just turn up.
