The 9th WMDF is under way!

WDMF edition 009 has begun! People from across the globe filled Motomachi park with energy and soul. A huge variety of performers took to the stages, with the Tomakomai Komazawa  Symphony and Marching Band becoming WMDF’s largest group to date, with 82 performers!

The weekend will bring many more artists, foods, goods and much more. Come along and check out what’s on offer. Especially, Sunday is your second and last chance to see our Colombian group, Walka.

Thanks to all the WMDF staff for their hard work today! Please take care and come back for more tomorrow.

Final Day Running in the Park

We have reached the final day of this year’s event.

We were blessed with great weather and huge audiences all week. Today we run until 21:30, and it looks like we will beat the rain, so make the most of this last chance. An event our size running on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and then having a closing day on Monday is surely not usual, but we already have a well-filled park.

At the closing finale you have a one and only chance to see a large number of this year’s WMDF artists on stage at once. Come along and help bring a grand curtain down on this year’s event.

WMDF Expands to Full Size

This weekend, WMDF expands to its fullest size, with the main WMDF festival running alongside both MoguFes and WakuFes for the entire weekend.  Many artists from all over the world will be performing, for example America, India, Lithuania, Bangladesh, and Ukraine. We also bring you a huge variety of many genres of Japanese performers.

The weather is great, so come down and enjoy the performances in the Park, while  trying out the foreign foods and drinks!
