WMDF catches the eye in Motomachi Park, but it also has an extensive educational and social “Outreach” program, that collaborates with many places in town, including Old Peoples’ Homes, kindergartens and other events occurring in town at a similar time.

If you think that “We want to go but Motomachi Park is too far!”, or  “We want to interact with the artists close up” the Outreach program might be for you. It offers a chance to meet new worlds that are not usually accessible.

The picture above shows the Russian group after a performance for kindergarten students. Both the artists and the students could all have a great time together. If you have an interest in WMDF’s Outreach program for next year, please let us know!

Day 1 of WMDF 006!

The first day of WMDF 006 produced another unique international event.

There was some rain during the early evening, but the audience atmosphere kept everyone’s minds far from the thought of leaving early.

The jointly located “Mogu Mogu Festival” kept everyone’s spirits high with food and drink from around the world, and happy faces could be seen all around.

On Tuesday, a new combination of artists and stages will bring WMDF to life again.

If you couldn’t come to experience the first day, please visit us again tomorrow!
