Thanks to all who came to enjoy the great weather in Motomachi Park! What a perfect day. what a collection of entertainment, and what a great audience.

The forecast is also great for tomorrow, but it will be very hot, so please drink lots of fluids, especially if you are dancing. Fortunately, the MoguFes booths offer you a huge choice of refreshments! The second day of physical activities in the Flare area closes the WakuFes, so don’t miss your chance to get some fun exercise.

WDMF edition 009 has begun! People from across the globe filled Motomachi park with energy and soul. A huge variety of performers took to the stages, with the Tomakomai Komazawa  Symphony and Marching Band becoming WMDF’s largest group to date, with 82 performers!

The weekend will bring many more artists, foods, goods and much more. Come along and check out what’s on offer. Especially, Sunday is your second and last chance to see our Colombian group, Walka.

Another year, another new venue for our Opening Party. Thanks much to long-time WMDF caterers Marusen for letting us use their restaurant as a venue (and for letting the celebrations spill over into the car park). Hakodate African All-Stars gave a thumping session, and found a new group of dancers in our staff and artists. Thanks to Hakodate City for their support and for the official presents for each group. Thanks also to our sponsors Apparel Fukushoku Kyoukai for their presents for the artists. Motomachi Park opens from August 5th. We can’t wait to meet more new worlds together.
