We bring you this special collaboration between WMDF veteran and WMDF newbie, blending two different traditions of stringed instrument. Kateryna was born in Pripyat, Ukrai, and has played the Bandure, her native music instrument, since childhood. She first came to Japan to perform at the age of ten, and then returned after graduating music school to make her base in Tokyo. Hisamatsu Ayako is a koto player of distinction having been awarded prizes in national music contests. She often collaborates with others including different genres such as synthesiser, western and folk music instruments, so we are looking forward to this new meeting of worlds at WMDF.
