This Latin duo plays mainly Cuban songs. On vocals, Makoto holds the record of having been a part of Cuba’s International Trova music festival for 18 conseuctive years, since 2001. We welcome him back after his first taste of WMDF in last year’s rain-affected stages. This year, he brings with him pianist Takaya Saito, who is a member of the “Orquesta de La Luz”, famous as a salsa unit around the world. Although the pair’s personal friendship stretches back over 20 years to their time as students, WMDF brings you their first ever duo stage collaboration.
