The Folklore Railwaymen Ensemble MARÍNA are based in the town of Zvolen in Slovakia (Middle Europe) where it has its own stage in The Culture House of the Slovak Railways. The group have a wide repertoire of traditional folk music, backed up by a female chorus and large dance group. The primary goal of the ensemble is to preserve and present the unique ancient traditions and spiritual heritage of Slovakia, including ancient dances, music and songs, plus traditional folk costumes and traditional music instruments. Celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, please enjoy this taste of the “long now” from across the world.
