“Gucci” the Pierrot, Sapporo

Very popular with kids, Gucci is a comical, cheerful clown. Without spoken words, his style unfolds in a whimsical communication with audience members including gestures, mime and sound effects such as whistles. Starting in 2000, he has performed at over 150 events a year around Hokkaido and Aomori, giving stage shows and roving performances. Debuting at WMDF three years ago, we are really happy to ask him back! He is especially good at improvised performances that please impromptu crowds. He can make close to 500 different balloon sculptures, of which over 90% are original. Last year he even made balloon letters “A”, “B”, “C”, “D”, and “E” to mark each stage area of Motomachi Park.
