Folk Dance Ensemble Poligrodzianie was established in 1973. They have become pre-eminent ambassadors of Polish cultural heritage, having visited over 60 countries and travelled over a million kilometers in completing more than 110 foreign tours. They have performed in front of luminaries such as Jean Paul II (twice), UNESCO (four times), the Mayor of New York, the king of Malaysia’s Kota Kinabalu region, and the presidents and ministers of numerous countries such as Israel, Malta, Malaysia, South Korea, China, Ireland and Mexico. They were awarded the title of “Absolute World Champion of Folklore 2015″ at the V World Championship of Folklore, from among 120 participating groups.
