“Nin cup” is an expression in the Ainu indigenous language of Hokkaido that describes the thin sliver that remains before the start of a new moon. This gives you a glimpse of a different sensibility regarding change, and a different narrative mindset in the Ainu culture. The music of this trio brings new expression to Ainu beliefs by mixing traditional song, dance and story-telling with modern music. Also incorporating original instruments, we invite you to meet the tales of this ancient world of our Hokkaido predecessors through a contemporary retelling.
