“Toozalii” Community Arts International Artists, UK

Toozalii use many different art forms to enable and to provide social inclusion workshops for minority groups within mainstream arts events around the world. They are busy hatching plans to return to Japan with new ideas for our tenth anniversary, so this year they are represented by the silk flags in Motomachi Park, created from designs made in our own WMDF workshops and other places in Hakodate. These flags have been exhibited as the “World’s Eye” project at many locations around the UK, with a total audience of over 100,000. For their efforts on this and on other community involvement works, Toozali gained an audience with the UK Prime Minister in No.10 Downing Street!
