We are entering the last weeks of programming groups for WMDF 008 in 2015. Many thanks yet again to the many groups who have shown such interest in our event. We are always looking out for new experiences for our audiences, so check out our country list to see if you are represented. (The list includes countries that have applied for 2015.) If you can bring us something new, please consider applying for 2015 or beyond!

Sorry for keeping you waiting: WMDF can now make the full first online announcement of this year’s international and in-country artists with profiles. Please check out the Artists tab or click on the image to the right to see complete profiles of this year’s amazing line-up. We look forward to meeting many new worlds in Motomachi Park in August.

Each year, the translation work of the profiles gets larger. We have an online system that we use to let many people do the editing and data input. So, it’s possible to be a WMDF volunteer anywhere in the world; If you have translation skills you’d like to share, please let us know, for example by using our online form.

The artists for WMDF 007 were announced at our Opening Live event this past weekend. You can get the first details on this year’s amazing lineup by clicking on the picture to the right, which will take you to a pdf version of our poster and flier. Japanese and English profiles for all artists will be released online very soon. Our web site has already been updated with the main August event outline, including information on new attractions this year (such as fourth stage, and sixth area) as well as 007 ticketing information. August will be here very soon!
