Our event is still young, but people are noticing.

The organisers of WMDF and MoguFes, “Worlds Meet Japan”, received the “Genki Grand Prize” (2016) from Hokkaido’s main newspaper. The award recognised our bringing together of the peoples of different countries and our creation of a vibrant and lively (“genki”) local atmosphere. Ceremonies were held in Hakodate and in Sapporo, and previous winners Komazawa Tomakomai Symphony and Marching Band, participated in the next edition of our event.
